Location, Location, Location!

Ok, so most of you viewers have a general idea where Richmond and East Twickenham is. Lying on a descending bend in the river, the town of Richmond is on what is referred to as the South Bank. This map indicates the London Borough of Richmond.
We will be looking at the history, monuments, buildings, culture and geography in the following:
North and South Richmond, St Margarets and Twickenham Riverside.

A short intro

Richmond. It has been my home since birth, and this alone I am very grateful for. You see, the area which I have spent the last 13 years of my life in has been what I have been proud to call home. From    a settlement listed in the Domesday book, a lavish palace once home to past kings and queens of an empire, to a hearty village with pubs and green areas scattered across the riverside, Richmond certainly deserves its name on the map. Bearing the largest of the Royal Parks in London as well as the world-famous view towards Windsor from the summit of Richmond Hill. This is Richmond and its story....
